The World Heritage city of Úbeda transports itself to its past with the Renaissance Festival 2026, offering a diverse range of events that blend history and entertainment. Access to all activities is free, and it is recommended to arrive early to fully enjoy the experience.
Among the most notable activities are a terror passage inspired by the Renaissance era, the reenactment of the arrival of Emperor Charles I of Spain and V of Germany in the city, and a vertical dance show at the Clock Tower in Plaza de Andalucía. These celebrations aim to diversify the cultural offerings and connect the city's past with the present.
The program, running from Thursday, July 2nd to Sunday, July 5th, includes the opening of the Renaissance Market, musical entertainment by groups such as Camerata Imperial de Carlos V and Ensemble Renacimiento, historical parades by the Italian Historical Flag Bearers Group, and acrobatic exhibitions in Plaza Vázquez de Molina.
On Friday, July 3rd, a round table will be held on the memory of Santa María, San Nicolás, and San Pablo as National Monuments, a concert by the Capilla Musical de los Seises del Salvador, and theatrical performances such as "Fuenteovejuna in three scenes" at the Corral de Comedias. On Saturday, July 4th, "El Bululú" will be presented, and on Sunday, July 5th, the Agrupación Musical Ubetense will offer a concert, in addition to children's interludes.
Families with children have a dedicated space in Plaza Vázquez de Molina, where the Children's Renaissance is celebrated daily at 7:00 PM with carousels, workshops, and game tables.
