The 14th edition of the Cinefan Festival in Úbeda has unveiled its program, emphasizing encounters with internationally renowned guests and cinematic screenings. This year, the festival pays tribute to two iconic films: Braveheart, celebrating its 30th anniversary, and Highlander, marking its 40th year since release.
Confirmed artists include acclaimed figures such as Caroline Munro, Beatie Edney, Ty Keogh, Aidan Scott, Danny Webb, David Ó´hara, and Angus Mcfadyen, who will share their experiences with the audience through organized talks and debates during the festival.
Special film screenings will be held at the Multicines Úbeda. Alongside the anniversaries of Braveheart and Highlander, the program features The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1973) and a Q&A session with voice actor José Padilla.
Due to ongoing renovation works at the Hospital de Santiago, the traditional Walk of Fame will be relocated to Calle Real. Additionally, the anticipated Cinefan Concert will take place in Plaza Vázquez de Molina, replacing its usual venue at the Hospital de Santiago.
The festival runs from July 24th to 26th. Saturday, July 25th, will feature screenings of Braveheart and Highlander, Q&A sessions with Angus Macfadyen, David O'Hara, Beatie Edney, Ty Keogh, and Aidan Scott, a parade of film and series characters for the Walk of Fame, and a concert by the Banda Sinfónica Ciudad de Jaén.
