The main intervention focuses on modernizing water supply and sanitation networks, as well as replacing the current pavement with materials that respect the municipality's traditional aesthetics. These actions aim to revitalize the urban center and encourage commercial activity in the area.
On El Portón street, with a budget of nearly 209,000 euros, the existing surface will be removed to install clay flooring and new drainage systems for rainwater. This project is part of the Agricultural Employment Promotion Program (PFEA), with the collaboration of the Málaga Provincial Council and the Regional Government of Andalusia.
Meanwhile, Refinos street will receive an investment of 80,000 euros for the renewal of 69 meters of pipes and the adjustment of manholes. The work, carried out by the water service concessionaire, will conclude with the installation of tiles over an area of 226 square meters.
These works are in addition to interventions recently carried out in the historic center, such as the reform of Andazalia, Cebadillas Bajas, and Matadero streets, consolidating the municipal commitment to enhancing local heritage.
