This initiative, already a fixture in the local sports calendar, proposes a route of approximately 10 kilometers and about five hours in duration. It is designed for hikers with an intermediate level of experience, aiming to combine physical activity with camaraderie and the exploration of the natural environment of the Axarquía region.
The route will pass through areas of great scenic and historical value. Among the notable points are the Church of San Antón, the Arab bridge of Salares, the Chorro fountain, the Roman bridge of Sedella, and the Hermitage of Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza, all representative landmarks of the area.
The bus departure is scheduled from Vélez-Málaga at 08:00, next to the Guardia Civil barracks, with a second stop in Torre del Mar at 08:15, in the El Tomillar car parks. The organizers emphasize that the activity aims to promote healthy lifestyles and contact with nature, in addition to fostering a sense of community among participants.
Registrations will be open until May 6 via the email address provided by the City Council. The participation fee is 6 euros for those who are not federated. Participants are advised to bring appropriate hiking gear, including specific footwear, comfortable clothing, sun protection, water, and food, and to follow the guides' instructions at all times.
