Firefighters from the Vélez-Málaga Provincial Consortium responded to a traffic accident on the MA-4105 road, which links the municipalities of Sedella and Canillas de Aceituno.
The incident involved a single vehicle that veered off the road and fell into the river after a drop of more than ten meters. The occupant of the car was trapped inside and had to be rescued by emergency personnel at the scene.
Firefighters performed the extraction using a spinal board and then transferred the injured person to an ambulance for evacuation to the Hospital de la Axarquía.
