The Nerja Municipal Swimming School has concluded its season with the celebration of the Provincial Swimming Circuit Final in the town. The event brought together 180 swimmers from municipalities including Álora, Archidona, Estepona, Benalmádena, Campillos, and Nerja.
The day was marked by sportsmanship, effort, and camaraderie. Participants competed in freestyle events of 25, 50, and 100 meters, adapted to their respective categories, as well as various male, female, and mixed relay races.
Swimmers from the Nerja Municipal Swimming School had a notable performance, securing a total of ten podium finishes. Among the standouts were Thiago Yeo, champion in the pre-benjamin male category; Brayan Quiñones, champion in the benjamin male category; Víctor Cabezas, second place in the benjamin male category; Mara Fernández, second place in the infantil female category; and Helena Carretero, champion in the cadete female category.
The Councilor for Sports, Daniel Rivas, congratulated all the swimmers for their effort and commitment throughout the season, as well as their families and the coach for the year-round work.
The hosting of this final in Nerja underscores the municipality's capacity to host major sporting events, consolidating the town as a benchmark in provincial swimming, both athletically and organizationally.
