The Nerja City Council has announced the opening of the application period for the X Municipal Housing Rehabilitation Program 2026, starting tomorrow, Friday, July 24th. This initiative primarily aims to assist families with limited financial resources in carrying out conservation and improvement works on their homes.
According to Housing Councilor Nieves Atencia, applications can be submitted for 15 calendar days through the council's entry registry. The program is intended for property owners whose family income does not exceed three times the IPREM.
The aid covers actions aimed at improving accessibility, energy efficiency, installations, humidity removal, renovation of carpentry and cladding, as well as other interventions to enhance the safety and habitability of homes.
Key requirements include that the property must be the applicant's habitual residence, be over ten years old, and be the applicant's sole property. Interested parties can consult the full call for applications, which has been published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Málaga.
