These funds will be directly transferred to the town councils for them to manage the bidding and execution of the works. The president of the Provincial Council, Francisco Salado, highlighted the importance of these infrastructures for revitalizing small municipalities, improving the lives of their residents, and making the rural environment more attractive.
In El Borge, one million euros will be allocated to build a multi-purpose pavilion with changing rooms and a reception area, designed for year-round use regardless of weather conditions.
Meanwhile, Árchez will receive 255,000 euros to install a retractable textile roof over the sports court on La Vega street. This court is essential for the local school and for hosting social events. The work is expected to be completed within six months.
This initiative continues the provincial aid program started in 2025, which allocated 8.2 million euros to 12 municipalities with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants, funding coverings and new sports centers in other towns.
Through these actions, the Provincial Council reaffirms its commitment to territorial balance, ensuring that the lack of basic infrastructure does not hinder the development of smaller municipalities and providing residents with modern facilities available 365 days a year.
