The Úbeda International Music and Dance Festival, with the support of the Caja Rural de Jaén Foundation, has announced a new edition of its Music and Heritage Cycle, which will offer ten charity concerts in various historical locations throughout the city.
This cycle, scheduled from May 21 to June 27, aims to merge the cultural and architectural richness of Úbeda with chamber music and internationally renowned soloists. The performances will take place in emblematic venues such as the Church of San Lorenzo and the Luis de la Cueva Palace, among others.
“
"We combine one of our missions, which is to promote heritage, as well as to foster cultural activities. This cycle is a way to create opportunities, to enjoy music in unique spaces and for people to enjoy that heritage environment."
The cycle's presentation was attended by Luis Jesús García-Lomas, manager of the Caja Rural de Jaén Foundation; Esteban Ocaña, director of the Úbeda Festival; and Elena Rodríguez, Culture Councillor for the Úbeda City Council. All emphasized the importance of collaboration between public and private institutions for such events.
A key aspect of this initiative is its charitable nature, as all proceeds from the concerts will be donated to a social association in the city. Tickets, priced at a symbolic 3 €, are already available through the Úbeda Festival website.

"A project of this caliber cannot be carried out without the synergies between private and public institutions. This is a cycle full of details and nods to elements such as the social aspect, the heritage field, tourism, and experiencing music in places that are not usually open."
The program includes notable performances such as 'La noche sosegada' with María del Mar Poyatos on May 21 at the Oratorio San Juan de la Cruz, 'Goldberg Variations' on May 22 at the Church of San Lorenzo, and the Dúo Icarus on May 27 at the Vela de los Cobos Palace. Other artists like Daniel del Pino, Jeremías Sanz and Pablo Prieto, and Linarem Ensemble will also be part of this cultural proposal that seeks to bring music closer to the public in a unique heritage setting.
