The joint operation has resulted in the arrest of 19 individuals and the execution of 26 house searches. During the interventions, large quantities of narcotics such as cocaine, MDMA, marijuana, and hashish were seized, along with weapons, vehicles, video surveillance and tracking systems, and over 200,000 euros in cash.
The investigations, named Samsara and Mendoza, were coordinated by specialized units from Torremolinos-Benalmádena, the Provincial Police Station of Córdoba, and the Local Police Station of Linares (Jaén). These units combined efforts upon detecting the activity of two criminal groups involved in the acquisition, transport, and distribution of drugs on a medium and small scale in various Andalusian locations.
Operation Mendoza, which began in January 2025, focused on the leaders of one of the plots, based on the Costa del Sol. Investigators successfully identified their modus operandi, which included acquiring drugs on the Costa del Sol and Granada, and making payments in installments or even with vehicles imported from Germany. Drug shipments were intercepted, leading to the seizure of 2,000 grams of cocaine and 100 grams of hashish in a first phase, and 1,000 grams of cocaine in a second.
The exploitation phase of this operation took place last month, with 15 searches in Málaga, Benalmádena, Mijas, Fuengirola, and Marbella, resulting in 10 arrests. Seizures included 273 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of pink cocaine, 2,000 grams of hashish, 2,041 grams of marijuana buds, anabolics, over 86,000 euros in cash, 7 vehicles, high-end watches, and various drug trafficking tools.
Concurrently, Operation Samsara commenced in March 2025, targeting another organized group in the same area. This investigation posed greater challenges due to the rural enclaves where they operated. Nevertheless, agents managed to identify the members, their properties, and vehicles, as well as their method of drug acquisition on the Costa del Sol and Antequera, with transfers to Linares and Villanueva de la Reina (Jaén) and Priego de Córdoba.
In Antequera, agents intercepted a vehicle containing 1,560 grams of cocaine hidden. This led to eight searches and the arrest of four individuals, with seizures of 1,595 grams of cocaine, 208 grams of MDMA, 126 grams of hashish, 319 grams of marijuana, and 143,505 euros in cash. In the final operational phase, three more arrests and three house searches were conducted in Priego de Córdoba and Villanueva de la Reina, leading to the seizure of 3,253 grams of cocaine and over 7,000 euros in cash.
