The V Degusta Jaén Food Fair is preparing for its 2026 edition at the Provincial Exhibition and Congress Palace, offering three days of activities and a meeting point for the province's agri-food sector.

This biennial event, taking place from April 18 to 20, will feature the participation of nearly 60 companies, most of them affiliated with the Degusta Jaén quality brand. As a novelty, this edition will include about ten companies from the Sabor Granada brand, thus expanding the gastronomic offer.

"A meeting place for the province's agri-food and restaurant businesses with consumers, shops, and agri-food distribution companies in our country."

Javier Perales · Deputy of Agriculture and Livestock
The fair will be structured into various areas, including an exhibition zone for companies to showcase their products, and a gastronomic zone where tastings of Segureño lamb and seafood will be offered. Restaurants such as Bocao Vitango, La Mar Salá, Casa Herminia, and Leticia Navarro Dgustar will prepare tapas. There will also be a space dedicated to tastings of cheeses, wines, extra virgin olive oils, and vermouth.
With over 40 activities scheduled, the event will offer free admission. The sessions on April 18 and 19 will be open to the general public, while April 20 will be primarily dedicated to professionals in the food and gastronomy sector. Highlighted activities include extra virgin olive oil tastings by IGP Aceite de Jaén and the Sierra Mágina Designation of Origin, as well as Jaén wines and cheeses.
For the youngest attendees, a children's area will be set up with a play library, performances, workshops, and contests, including the 'Peque Chef' initiative with professors Juan Casado and José Navacerrada. The program also includes the final of the Provincial 'Degusta Jaén en familia' Contest, family cooking workshops, product raffles, and musical performances by artists such as Lucas Paulano, winner of La Voz Kids 2025, and comedian Pepe El Caja.
The professional day on April 20 will feature business meetings, the presentation of Degusta Jaén plaques to new producers, shops, and restaurants, and a gastronomic demonstration with Michelin-starred chefs. Additionally, the finals of the XII Andalusian Young Chefs Contest and the I Andalusian Young Waiters Contest, organized by Fecoan, will be held. Previously, on April 17, the Degusta Jaén Awards will be presented to companies such as Apisierra, Mermeladas y Licores Santa Claudia, La Jamonería de Paco, La Despensa de Paraíso de Bardazoso, the Antique restaurant, and chef Patricia Díaz.
