The V Degusta Jaén Food and Gastronomy Fair successfully opened its first day at the Provincial Palace of Fairs and Congresses of Jaén (IFEJA), drawing a large crowd with a diverse offering of activities and flavors.
More than fifty agri-food companies, fifty of which are part of the Degusta Jaén strategy by the Provincial Council, have set up their stands at the venue. The event will remain open until Monday, April 20, featuring a program with over forty free proposals for attendees.
During the inaugural day, representatives from the Provincial Council toured the various scheduled activities. One of them met with gastronomic influencers, attended the ‘Gastronomic Challenge,’ and visited a pastry workshop organized by the Provincial Association of Celiacs.
The day also included a surprise musical performance by a young local singer, winner of a well-known television program, who added an emotional and musical touch to the event. Another representative from the Provincial Council visited the participants of the ‘Peque Chef’ culinary competition, where the youngest demonstrated their cooking skills.
Both representatives concluded their tour by visiting the restaurants participating in the Gastronomic Festival, an initiative that allows visitors to sample cuisine from different Jaén establishments under one roof.
