During a rally held in Jaén, a representative of Por Andalucía highlighted the importance of defining Andalusia's productive model. The group proposes a food sovereignty and supply chain law to ensure that production prices never fall below costs, in addition to creating public supermarkets to facilitate access to affordable products for the most vulnerable.
The electoral event took place after the morning's agenda was suspended as a sign of mourning for the death of two officers in the line of duty. In their speech, the Por Andalucía representative called on citizens to “rebel against resignation” and proposed an alternative to recover inhabitants in the province, based on an economic model that protects the primary sector, boosts industry, and generates future opportunities.
Furthermore, they criticized another party's support for the Mercosur agreement, describing it as a pact that facilitates the entry of South American agricultural products without the same traceability and quality guarantees required in the European Union, which, in their view, harms the Andalusian countryside in favor of exporting German vehicles.
“"You will never hear Vox defending the working class, nor the weakest or most vulnerable, but always serving the powerful."
In the energy sector, Por Andalucía proposes to map fallow land suitable for installing photovoltaic, solar, and wind plants, with the aim of advancing towards energy sovereignty that reduces dependence on fossil fuels. It was emphasized that no hectare of arable land will cease to produce due to investment fund decisions.
Finally, regarding healthcare, the group defended the need to “recover public healthcare and its capacity to provide timely care and save lives,” criticizing the diversion of resources to private healthcare and advocating for leveraging existing healthcare infrastructure and guaranteeing free public education, including Vocational Training.
