The Pídeme la Luna Association has made the dream of 22 minors with oncological diseases come true, as they had the opportunity to enjoy the snow in Sierra Nevada. Participants came from the Hospital Infantil de Jaén, the Hospital Virgen de las Nieves de Granada, and the Hospital La Fe de Valencia, living a unique experience that combined fun and learning.
During their stay, the children, along with their families and the healthcare team, began skiing under the supervision of specialized instructors. The activity took place in Borreguiles, where they traveled by cable car from Pradollano, demonstrating their capacity for effort and enthusiasm in a privileged environment.
In addition to the on-slope activities, the minors stayed in an establishment in Sierra Nevada that offered various leisure spaces, such as a children's play area, mini-cinema, and spa. They also participated in animation activities that promoted coexistence among families, volunteers, and the children themselves.
The experience culminated with a day at El Mirlo Blanco activity park, where the children enjoyed recreational proposals such as the Russian sled and descents on inner tubes and sleds, putting a golden finish to an unforgettable weekend.
“"The involvement of volunteers has been key to the development of the activity, as well as the collaboration of entities and professionals who have contributed to making this project possible."
From the association, the fundamental role of volunteering has been highlighted, and gratitude has been expressed for the collaboration of various entities and professionals who made this initiative possible. The Pídeme la Luna Association continues to work to improve the quality of life of hospitalized children, offering experiences that foster excitement, normalization, and the emotional well-being of minors and their families.
