These projects are part of a broader initiative across Andalusia, where 65 Vocational Training centers are developing 24 collaborative projects with a total investment of 1,180,606 euros. Half of these projects focus on promoting the culture of Vocational Training within companies, seeking excellence through the joint identification of challenges and solutions. The remaining twelve concentrate on creating 'entrepreneurship nurseries,' where students develop business ideas with the support of companies, local administrations, and the educational community.
In Jaén, five of the projects are coordinated by local educational centers. Among them is 'Conecta Skills 360º,' from the IES Las Fuentezuelas, which is creating a digital platform to connect Vocational Training with companies and their employment needs. The IES Himilce in Linares coordinates two initiatives: 'Estructura y estilo,' focused on technical collaborations for mini-houses and trade fair stands, and 'Smart School Energy Andalucía,' which aims to transform public buildings into 'Smart Classrooms' through efficient energy systems and environmental control.
Another notable project is 'OleoDesign 2.0,' coordinated by the IES Fernando III of Martos. This project implements a 'learning factory' to transform extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) produced in the educational oil mill into an innovative line of high-value-added natural cosmetic products. Meanwhile, the IES Sierra de las Villas in Villacarrillo coordinates 'Dulce Futuro Rural 4.0,' focused on designing a business excellence model for a traditional agri-food company.
Each participating center can receive a maximum funding of 15,000 euros, with a cap of 60,000 euros per project. The funding comes from the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, and Sports, co-financed by the European Union under the European Social Fund Plus for Employment, Education, Training, and Social Economy (EFESO) program.
