The incident occurred at kilometer 300 of the aforementioned road, heading towards Madrid. The 112 Andalusia Emergency Service received several calls alerting them to the accident.
Upon arrival at the scene, emergency services found the driver "unconscious in the cabin". Despite the swift response from firefighters, local police, and paramedics, nothing could be done to save his life.
