The Minister of Public Works, Territorial Planning and Housing, Rocío Díaz, visited the Metal-Mechanical and Transport Technology Center (Cetemet) in Linares, Jaén, to reaffirm institutional commitment to the local technology sector and gain firsthand insight into its activities.

During her tour of the Santana Transport Scientific and Technological Park, Díaz, accompanied by the mayor of Linares, Auxi del Olmo, observed the work of Cetemet and the twenty auxiliary companies operating within the complex. The visit underscores Linares' strategic importance as a hub for technological innovation.
Also present in the delegation were the Government delegate in Jaén, Jesús Estrella, the territorial delegate for Public Works, Miguel Contreras, and the president of Cetemet, Patricio Lupiáñez. The minister reviewed the capabilities of a center that has established itself as a national benchmark, thanks to its state-of-the-art laboratories and certification systems.
These facilities are crucial for ensuring the safety, resistance, and reliability of critical industrial components, ranging from parts for the railway and automotive sectors to heavy machinery. Cetemet's work not only strengthens Andalusia's industrial fabric but also attracts leading companies from across Spain seeking to ensure the quality of their products before commercialization.
The entity plays a fundamental role in developing advanced solutions for transport and logistics, solidifying Linares' national relevance in this field.
