This initiative, resulting from coordination between the Vocational Training Service Department of the Territorial Delegation in Jaén and the Vice-Rectorate for Official Studies at UJA, quarterly allows public and state-subsidized institutes in the province to request curricular internship profiles. The Vice-Rectorate manages these requests to find suitable tutors, highlighting the high demand in areas such as IT, Laboratory, Management Assistance, and Marketing.
The experience for vocational training students undertaking internships at UJA is described as "more than satisfactory," evidenced by the increasing number of applications each quarter. Teaching and Research Staff (PDI) and Technical, Management, and Administrative and Services Staff (PTGAS) are encouraged to participate as tutors, a crucial role for the young people's future labor market integration. The repeat participation of tutors underscores the effective collaboration of vocational training students.
In the coming months, the Director of External Internships of the Vice-Rectorate for Official Studies, Cristina Callejón Hernández, will begin the process of assigning tutors for the next academic year. Additionally, UJA collaborates with other entities such as IMEFE and Alborán, hosting their interns with highly positive evaluations.
