The city of Jaén is preparing to host the 22nd edition of the Pantano del Quiebrajano Climb, one of the most traditional popular races in the province of Jaén. The event, scheduled for Sunday, September 20, already has a significant number of registered participants ready to join this established sporting occasion.
Jointly organized by the Quiebrajano Athletics Club and the Municipal Sports Board of Jaén, the race will attract runners from various locations. The course, centered around the iconic Pantano del Quiebrajano (Quiebrajano Reservoir), offers an experience that blends athletic effort with the enjoyment of the natural landscape of the Sierra Sur de Jaén.
Under the slogan “More than a race, a tradition,” the event maintains its original spirit in its twenty-second edition, serving as a benchmark for popular athletics enthusiasts. In addition to its sporting component, the race continues its solidarity focus.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the APROSOJA Association. The organization has also introduced the 'dorsal 0' (bib 0) option for individuals wishing to contribute financially to the entity without participating in the competition. All funds raised through this channel will be fully allocated to the association.
The organizers encourage participation, inviting both experienced runners and those who wish to join a special day dedicated to sport and solidarity in one of the most recognizable natural settings in the province.
