The Jaén City Council, through Mayor Julio Millán and Sports Councilor Beatriz López, has confirmed the expansion of spots for the event, scheduled for Sunday, November 15th. Demand has exceeded expectations, with initial bibs selling out four months before the race.
Those interested in participating can register via the official website for 12 euros. Mayor Julio Millán highlighted the consolidation of Jaén as the City of Athletics, evidenced by the successful registration numbers for races organized by the Municipal Sports Board.
Beatriz López emphasized the work done to position the Jaén Half Marathon among Andalusia's major popular races, mentioning the route renovation, professionalization of organization, and introduction of new features.
The thirtieth edition will feature a new single-lap circuit, pending official homologation. Cash prizes will be introduced for the top three male and female finishers in the absolute categories (300€, 200€, and 100€), as well as for the winners in the disability category.
The top three finishers in the general category of the 10K will receive a trophy. Additionally, participants who complete the half marathon will receive a reserved bib for the "Noche de San Antón” International Urban Race 2027.
Places are still available for the complementary 10K race in memory of Paco Manzaneda, with a registration fee of 15 euros.
