The Jaén Provincial Council has announced it will support Real Jaén in its debut in the third tier of Spanish football, becoming the team's second most important sponsor. The president of the provincial administration, Juan Latorre, made this announcement following a working meeting with the club's general director, Fran Anera, at the Estadio Caja Rural La Victoria.
Latorre emphasized that Real Jaén is a historic and emblematic club in the province, and that the support aims to back its sporting project. He highlighted the excitement generated among fans following the team's two consecutive promotions.
The president of the Provincial Council recalled the existing collaboration and its planned increase, stressing that the club's presence in Primera Federación represents an opportunity to promote the name of Jaén across Spain. He added that supporting sports also means promoting healthy lifestyles and the values it represents, as well as serving as a tool for provincial promotion.
Real Jaén will begin the season on the last weekend of August, competing in the second group of Primera Federación. Their opponents will include teams from Catalonia, the Valencian Community, the Region of Murcia, Aragon, the Community of Madrid, the Balearic Islands, and Andalusia. The first match will be away against CE Europa in Barcelona, with their home debut scheduled for the second matchday against SD Huesca.
