The initiative, promoted by the Education and Culture departments of the Jaén City Council, aims to bring live music into the students' educational environment. The project began last Monday, June 1st, coinciding with the celebration of the municipal music ensemble's 125th anniversary.
The selected repertoire features the most recognized soundtracks from children's cinema, including themes from films such as Frozen, The Lion King, Jurassic Park, and Golden (K-pop Warriors). The goal is to spark the students' musical interest through songs that have resonated with different generations.
The tour will visit 17 educational centers in the city: Santo Domingo, Santo Tomás, Santa María de los Apóstoles, Navas de Tolosa, Cristo Rey, Martín Noguera, San José de Calasanz, Divino Maestro, Pedro Poveda, Antonio Prieto, Nuestra Señora de la Capilla, Gloria Fuertes, Marcelo Espínola, Santa Capilla de San Andrés, San Vicente de Paúl, Guadalimar, and Agustín Serrano de Haro.
Through this program, the Jaén council seeks to promote access to musical culture among new generations, bringing the experience of a live concert to a space that is close and familiar to the students.
