The matches played ahead of the UEFA Futsal Champions League have proven beneficial for the Jaén team in their quest to secure a spot in the championship play-offs. Both Noia Portus Apostoli and Industrias Santa Coloma, currently in ninth and tenth place respectively, failed to earn points in their commitments.
Noia Portus Apostoli suffered a home defeat against Illes Balears Palma Futsal in a hard-fought match. The three-time European champions from Palma secured the victory with goals from Lucao in the 26th minute and Charuto in the 30th minute. Despite a player from Noia being sent off, Palma Futsal maintained their lead, moving into sixth place with 41 points, four ahead of Jaén FS.
Meanwhile, Jimbee Cartagena achieved a decisive victory over Industrias Santa Coloma with a score of 7 to 3. Although the Catalan team managed to narrow the gap in the first half, Cartagena launched an unstoppable offensive in the second half, securing three points that provisionally place them in third position with 43 points, six more than Jaén Paraíso Interior FS.
