The initiative, promoted by the Olivares de Jaén Golf Club, envisions transforming an area of over 28,000 square meters into a sports complex. This project seeks to expand the city's sports offerings through private investment and the utilization of public land.
The complex's design would include a training field of approximately 1,200 square meters, in addition to complementary areas for parking, services, and storage. Specifically, a practice range over 200 meters long and 60 meters wide is planned, with capacity for 25 to 30 simultaneous hitting bays (tee-box).
Additionally, the project incorporates a putting green area, a full practice hole (par three), and a pavilion designated as a Club House. A parking area with around 50 spaces and auxiliary facilities for the operation of the installation are also planned, configuring a facility aimed at both training and initiation into the sport.
“"This proposal will be processed with an administrative model similar to that used in other city projects, such as the construction of the La Alameda health center or the El Valle residence."
The proposal is currently in the initial study phase by municipal services, who will determine the administrative and urban viability of the action. The municipal leadership has argued that the arrival of local investors willing to develop projects on currently unproductive land represents an opportunity that the City Council must facilitate.
This initiative is part of a broader context of new projects in the area, noting that work is already underway on the construction of the Eco Active Camping Resort nearby, which reinforces the interest in revitalizing this part of the capital.
