The VI International Congress on Olive Oils and Health will transform the Jaén capital into a crucial meeting point for science and nutrition. The event, promoted by the University Institute of Research in Olive Grove and Olive Oils (INUO) of the University of Jaén, will feature collaboration from prestigious academic institutions such as Harvard University and the University of Navarra.
On June 11 and 12, the most advanced research on extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) and its health impact will be the main focus. The congress will gather prominent figures in fields such as cancer, obesity, and diabetes, emphasizing the connection between these diseases and lifestyle habits.
Participants include specialists in epidemiology and nutrition, experts in the Mediterranean diet, and scientists dedicated to biomarkers for early cancer detection and oncological research. Furthermore, emerging disciplines such as precision medicine and metabolomics, considered key for the transformation of the healthcare sector in the coming years, will be explored.
