The biennial fair, organized by Pópulo Servicios Turísticos y Culturales, has brought forward its dates this year in response to an explicit request from the sector. This event is consolidating its position as a key meeting point for innovation and the development of olive oil.
During the presentation, the acting delegate of the Junta de Andalucía Government in Jaén, Ana Mata, highlighted the initiative's importance, stating that it «reaffirms Jaén and its position in the world of olive oil, bringing future opportunities to the table». She also emphasized the sector's growing dynamism in the pursuit of excellence and final product quality.
The Jaén Provincial Council will participate with its own stand, showcasing the Jaén Selección 2026 AOVEs (Extra Virgin Olive Oils) and promoting the Oleoturismo destination in Baeza. The deputy for Promotion and Tourism, Francisco Javier Lozano, underscored the fair's relevance as a «space for reflection, dialogue, and above all, for learning about innovation and addressing the real needs of farmers».
“"We have experienced difficulties in the last harvest, where the province of Jaén has lost, according to the latest estimates, 100,000 tons, almost 20% of the olive harvest. That is why spaces like Futuroliva are so important to solve the problems of farmers and for the sector to continue consolidating."
The three-day program will include specialized technical sessions, activities in the gastronomic area, photography and cooking (Futurochef) competitions, as well as a comprehensive exhibition of agricultural and olive oil machinery. More than 50 extra virgin olive oil brands will be present, showcasing the latest trends and products in the sector.
