The Caja Rural de Jaén Foundation has presented its Annual Report for 2025, revealing a direct reach of 144,381 people. The event, held at the Nuevo Batán Club Social, was attended by authorities including the mayor of Jaén, Julio Millán; the president of the Provincial Council, Francisco Reyes; and the Government's sub-delegate, Manuel Fernández, among other institutional representatives and from the University of Jaén and the Diocese.
The Foundation's president, Patricio Lupiáñez, emphasized the "commitment to the territory and the people of Jaén" as the guiding principle of the year's activity, highlighting progress in the implementation of the 2024-2027 Strategic Plan.
In the Social Area, the Rural Solidaria, Rural Voluntariado, and Rural Tiempo Libre calls supported 150 entities, benefiting 31,356 individuals. The Foundation collaborated with 130 institutions, reaching 113,025 people. Initiatives such as Rural Forma Social, a networking event for the Third Sector, brought together 60 entities and 88 professionals. The La Inmaculada Elderly Residence maintained a high satisfaction level and renewed its quality certification.
The Cultural Area recorded nearly 70,000 visitors at exhibitions in the Jaén Cathedral. The XVIII La Rural Plastic Arts Award attracted 531 artists and over 4,700 visitors, while the XVIII Photography Contest, focused on SDG 6, saw over 5,000 visits across six municipalities. The Foundation also promoted heritage restoration in Úbeda and Baeza, and enriched its art collection. In music, festivals like the International Music and Dance Festival Ciudad de Úbeda stood out. School Theater reached 4,000 students, and the Thursdays at the Cathedral celebrated their thirteenth edition.
The Scientific-Technical Area, through the Olivarum laboratory, processed 8,352 samples for agronomic and oil analysis, and handled 1,928 CAP aid requests. The Foundation continued its participation in the European project Living Soil and completed a project on nutrient concentrations in olive tree sap.
