A total of 51 Resident Intern Specialists (EIR) have completed their training at the Hospital Universitario de Jaén, part of the Andalusian Health Service. The farewell event was attended by the hospital's managing director, María Belén Martínez, members of the management team, and the Head of Studies, Miguel Ortigosa, who presented the accreditation diplomas to the new specialists.
María Belén Martínez expressed gratitude for the residents' "professionalism and dedication," highlighting their "commitment and willingness," and congratulated them on the start of a new professional chapter. The residents completed their training under continuous supervision, with annual evaluations and a final assessment.
The graduating group includes nine Nursing specialists (Obstetric-Gynecological, Pediatric, Mental Health, and Occupational Health) and 42 medical practitioners. Among the latter, 28 are fourth-year residents (R4) completing their training in specialties such as Clinical Analysis, Anesthesia and Resuscitation, Digestive System, Endocrinology and Nutrition, Hospital Pharmacy, Hematology and Hemotherapy, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Nephrology, Pulmonology, Neurology, Occupational Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Radiation Oncology, Otorhinolaryngology, Pediatrics, Clinical Psychology, Psychiatry, and Diagnostic Imaging.
The 14 fifth-year specialists (R5) are concluding their training in areas including Cardiology, General and Digestive Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology, Intensive Care Medicine, Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Urology.
