The feature film, which previously won the Biznaga de Plata in the official Cinema Cocina section of the 29th Málaga Film Festival, was screened at El Yelmo cinemas in Jaén. The event brought together the film's protagonists, the production team, and various authorities.
The president of the Jaén Provincial Council, Francisco Reyes, attended the presentation and emphasized the film's relevance as a testament to the region's culinary transformation. He highlighted that the documentary not only showcases this "gastronomic revolution" but also enhances the province's tourist appeal.
“"This documentary shows the gastronomic revolution that Jaén has experienced."
The film features the testimonies of chefs Pedro Sánchez (Bagá), Juan Aceituno (Dama Juana), Juan José Mesa (Radis), Javier Jurado (Malak), and Juan Carlos García (Vandelvira), who have successfully positioned Jaén on the high-cuisine map. The film was directed by Jorge Fernández Mayoral, produced by La Caña Sisters and Visual Comunicación, and supported by the Provincial Council and the Jaén City Council.
The documentary's title is inspired by a significant anecdote: the T-shirt with the message "They said there was nothing here in Jaén" worn by chef Juan Carlos García when he received his Michelin star in 2024, which became the central theme of the cinematic project.
