This Monday will see significantly high temperatures across much of Andalusia. Aemet has issued orange-level alerts for Almería, Córdoba, Jaén, Granada, and Sevilla, with the latter being the only province not reaching this alert level.
In the province of Jaén, the orange alert will be in effect between 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM in areas such as the Guadalquivir Valley, Sierra Morena, and Condado, where highs of up to 42 degrees Celsius are expected. The region of Cazorla and Segura will also experience temperatures up to 40 degrees Celsius under the same alert level and timeframe.
Yellow level warnings, active during the same hours, will set maximum temperatures at 39 degrees Celsius in Capital and Montes de Jaén.
Regionally, the Córdoba countryside is under orange alert with highs of 41 degrees Celsius, potentially reaching 42 degrees Celsius locally. In Granada, the Genil Basin will see up to 40 degrees Celsius, while in Almería (capital and Poniente) 39 degrees Celsius are anticipated.
Other provinces will also experience yellow alerts. In Seville, the Sierra Norte and the countryside will reach 39 degrees Celsius, with the possibility of reaching the orange threshold. In Córdoba, Subbética and Sierra y Pedroches are in a similar situation.
