The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has issued a yellow level warning for this Friday due to the predicted high temperatures in the province of Jaén. This alert is in addition to those already in effect in Córdoba and Sevilla.
The yellow level will specifically affect the regions of the Guadalquivir Valley and Sierra Morena and Condado. The peak heat period will extend between 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM, when thermometers are expected to reach highs of 39ºC, with the possibility of locally reaching 40ºC.
In the campiña of Córdoba and the campiña of Seville, the same yellow alert will be active during the same hours, forecasting similar highs, ranging between 39ºC and 40ºC.
For the rest of the autonomous community, weather forecasts indicate mostly clear skies, with intervals of medium and high clouds. Evolving cloudiness is also expected in mountainous areas, with scattered showers and thunderstorms not ruled out, especially probable in the afternoon in the eastern sierras. Winds will be light and variable, with moderate intervals in the afternoon, and moderate easterly winds are expected in the Strait and the Almería coast.
