The Regional Ministry of University, Research and Innovation reported that the University of Jaén experienced high demand in the first 24 hours. The most sought-after degrees were Medicine, with 920 requests; Nursing, with 876; Psychology, with 454; Physiotherapy, with 395; and Primary Education, with 323.
At the Andalusian level, Nursing is the most in-demand course with 11,656 requests, followed by Medicine (8,044), Psychology (4,595), and Primary Education (4,087). Gender breakdown shows 10,625 female applicants and 6,051 male applicants. Women predominantly opt for Nursing, Medicine, Psychology, Primary Education, and Law, while men favor Medicine, Nursing, Computer Engineering, Physiotherapy, and Physical Activity and Sport Sciences.
The pre-enrollment process, conducted through the electronic form of the Distrito Único Andaluz (Andalusian Single District), remains open until June 22. The application is singular and must include all desired degree programs in order of preference, a sequence that will be binding throughout the process. The Distrito Único Commission recommends including all available access routes and submitting the application even if the entrance exam has not yet been passed, as scores will be automatically updated.
The first round of place allocations will be announced on July 3, with enrollment deadlines until July 9. The second allocation is scheduled for July 16 and will extend until July 20. Applicants must interact with the system in each allocation round or risk exclusion from the process.
