Starting April 7, over 140,000 farmers and ranchers in Andalusia and Extremadura can formalize their acceptance of extraordinary subsidies, managed by the Spanish Agrarian Guarantee Fund, to mitigate damages caused by the recent series of storms.

These grants, ranging from 5,000 to 25,000 euros per applicant, are intended for beneficiaries already included in the initial partial list of those affected. The acceptance process is carried out through the electronic headquarters of the Spanish Agrarian Guarantee Fund, where interested parties can directly complete the form.
Farmers and ranchers also have the option to process their applications through professional agrarian organizations, agri-food cooperatives, or other collaborating entities linked to the Common Agricultural Policy. The deadline for completing this essential procedure is April 27, with express acceptance being an indispensable requirement for receiving the aid.
The subsidies, regulated under Royal Decree-Law 5/2026, have been processed ex officio to expedite their concession and ensure prompt payment to those affected by adverse weather events. The designed system aims to simplify administrative management and ensure that public funds quickly reach farmers and ranchers who have suffered losses due to climatic adversities.
