Huelva City Council has given the green light to the provisional allocation of stalls that will form part of the 2026 Autumn and Horse Fair. The resolution, approved by decree from the Councilor for Culture and Archaeological Heritage, Nacho Molina, has been published on the municipal notice board and website, opening a period of ten business days for interested parties to submit any objections they deem appropriate.
In total, fifty-one traditional stalls have been provisionally allocated. These are joined by concessions for non-profit collectives, such as the Huelva Ecuestre Association, the Hermandad del Rocío de Huelva, and the Hermandad de Emigrantes, as well as for public administrations: the Huelva capital's City Council itself and the Port Authority of Huelva.
As a novelty, eight new private stalls have been granted to the following establishments: Los de siempre, La Hacienda, Si yo te contara, La Cochera, Los estribos, De Huelva, Los médicos de Huelva, and La Rebujina. The application process for these new stalls took place between May 2 and May 31, 2026, and the allocation was based on Article 12 of the municipal ordinance.
The waiting list for new stalls has also been provisionally approved, comprising 38 interested groups, in anticipation of potential vacancies. The location of the newly granted stalls will be assigned primarily to holders of traditional stalls who have requested a change of location, and subsequently, to the new concessions according to the awarded order.
This year's edition will feature the relocation of the equestrian competition and the expansion of the fairgrounds with a new row of stalls towards the adjacent port area as its main novelty. The traditional stalls will remain in their current location in the Parque Alcalde Juan Ceada, where the Fair was moved in 2018. To ensure safety, the movement of horses and carts will be limited to the outer perimeter of the stalls, and they will not be allowed to circulate through the interior streets of the grounds.
