The Port of Huelva has reaffirmed its social commitment by supporting a training initiative aimed at at-risk youth. This project, developed by the Nuevos Horizontes Association, seeks to provide educational and employment opportunities for minors and young people facing learning difficulties or language barriers in the province of Huelva.
The collaboration between the port entity and the association is materialized in the project “Building the Future: Vocational Workshops for At-Risk Youth,” which has been carried out during 2025. Thanks to this alliance, more than a hundred students have participated in specialized workshops in Carpentry, Cooking, and Interculturality and Spanish Language.
These workshops, integrated into the center's educational-social program, have been fundamental for the development of practical skills, the promotion of self-esteem, and the motivation of the participants. The subsidy granted by the Port Authority has allowed for the acquisition of essential materials and the hiring of specialized personnel, thus ensuring the quality of the training.
The promoting entity highlights the positive evolution of the students and emphasizes the value of this institutional cooperation. This initiative not only contributes to the social integration of young people but also significantly improves their future employability prospects, strengthening equal opportunities in the Huelva community.
