The city of Huelva has hosted a new edition of the Sport Challenge, a sporting event that, in its third year, has brought together over a thousand students from eleven educational centers in the capital and its surroundings. The initiative is aimed at students from 1st to 4th year of ESO, who have had the opportunity to compete in various disciplines.
Among the activities enjoyed by the young people are futsal, basketball, padel, volleyball, dance, drawing, and obstacle courses. These competitions have been held in different phases, utilizing facilities such as CD El Saladillo and the Estadio Iberoamericano Emilio Martín. The final day took place last Friday at the Palacio de Deportes Carolina Marín.
“"Whether they won or lost, the important thing is everything they surely learned and shared these three days playing with classmates from other schools."
The mayor of Huelva, accompanied by the Councilor for Sports, Health, and Consumption, visited the event to greet the participants and acknowledge their involvement. She highlighted the importance of what was learned and shared during these days, thanking the educational centers, teachers, and monitors for using sport as a tool for coexistence and camaraderie among young people.
For its part, the event organization expressed its satisfaction with the great reception since the first edition, emphasizing the involvement of teachers, families, and students. It was stressed that the Sport Challenge goes beyond competition, fostering values such as effort, teamwork, and respect in a healthy and participatory environment, consolidating itself as a key event in the educational and sports calendar of Huelva.
