The iconic brand experience of Ron Barceló, Desalia, has concluded its latest edition on the coast of Huelva, in Matalascañas, introducing a summer novelty: the "Miami Vice, by Peldanyos" cocktail. This creation stems from a collaboration between the rum brand and gastronomic influencer Peldanyos, aiming to merge two popular rum concoctions into a single refreshing and colorful drink, inspired by the event's festive ambiance.
The first part of the recipe, a Piña Colada with a twist, is prepared with 5 cl of Ron Barceló Añejo, 1 cl of lime juice, 2 cl of coconut cream, and two slices of pineapple in syrup. Peldanyos' distinctive touch includes a pinch of salt and mustard, blended to achieve a frozen texture.
The second layer pays homage to Huelva with a Strawberry Daiquiri. It combines 5 cl of Ron Barceló Añejo, 2 cl of lime juice, and strawberries from Huelva. The influencer incorporates a pinch of cayenne pepper for a spicy contrast to the fruit's sweetness and the lime's acidity.
The final assembly presents both slushy mixtures in the same glass, creating two distinct color layers. The presentation, described as "gocha" and maximalist, features fresh strawberry pieces, crushed Lotus cookie, sliced almonds, white chocolate shavings, and pineapple leaves.
