This Friday, the city of Huelva will resonate with the celebration of Matadero Rock, a festival that has become an unmissable event within the cultural agenda of Huelva. Driven by the Association of Students and Alumni of the León Ortega School of Art and Design, the event aims to provide a platform for artists from the region, attracting more audiences and musical groups each year.
The day will begin at 10:00, although live music will not start until 13:00 with the DJ collective Personal No Autorizado, who will entertain the festival until midnight. Band performances will kick off at 17:00 with La Killa, blending flamenco and Andalusian rock. They will be followed by Akrovystia at 18:30 with their original repertoire, Iechyd Da at 20:00 with their blues and rock and roll proposal, and Plomillazo, who will close the night at 21:30 with their alternative and rhythm rock.
In addition to the musical offerings, the festival will feature the participation of Huelva artist Solaria, who will offer two performances at 19:30 and 21:00, bringing her folkloric energy and humor. The event will also include a Spring Market, where small artisans will display their creations in ceramics, wood, accessories, and hand-decorated clothing, along with a selection of pastries.
To complement the experience, a face painting workshop will be offered starting at 17:00, and a temporary tattoo space, the Tatto Flash-break, led by local artists, will be available from 18:30 and exclusively for adults. These activities aim to enrich the festival's cultural and creative offerings.
