The Loiola group, with over six decades of experience and more than 5,000 homes built, has selected the province of Huelva as the starting point for its expansion into southern Spain. The Sagitta project, located in El Rompido, Cartaya, represents a large-scale development that combines residential, tourist, and leisure uses, marking its entry into the Andalusian real estate sector.
This initiative spans an area of 130 hectares and plans for the construction of approximately 1,000 homes. Additionally, it will include sports facilities, such as a golf course, hotel spaces, a diverse commercial offering, and extensive green areas. The project is already in its execution phase, with the first residents expected to arrive by early 2028.
The development will also have a direct impact on employment. The company estimates the creation of 220 jobs, both direct and indirect, with priority given to hiring from the immediate vicinity, especially in the municipality of Cartaya.
Beyond real estate development, a fundamental pillar of the project is the environmental intervention in the surrounding area. Loiola will allocate an initial investment of 2 million euros to an environmental plan focused on ecosystem regeneration and landscape integration. This plan includes the planting of over 3,400 trees and 5,500 shrubs, the creation of 5,000 square meters of native meadows, the establishment of a river park, and the restoration of wetlands.
Among the planned actions are the renaturalization of the Cañada de la Viga stream, the reintroduction of native species like juniper, and the improvement of degraded areas. Road network interventions are also contemplated, using species adapted to the climate and capable of CO₂ capture. The project also incorporates sustainable mobility measures, such as bike lanes and access improvements, aligning with a model that seeks to integrate urban development with the natural environment and enhance the quality of life for future residents.
