The drug, distributed in 30 burlap sacks, was later unloaded at the Port of Huelva. The operation, part of a broader initiative against drug trafficking on the Huelva coast, has so far led to the arrest of one individual allegedly linked to the incident.
The operation involved a joint effort between the Huelva Auxiliary Service of Customs Surveillance (SAVA), the Civil Guard Maritime Service (SEMAR), and the Civil Guard's Organized Crime and Anti-Drug Team (EDOA). SEMAR monitored the river, while EDOA and SAVA operated on land.
Further details about this operation have not yet been released. The investigation remains ongoing, and further actions are not ruled out.
This seizure follows other recent incidents in the area, including an air and sea pursuit on Sunday, May 10th, in El Rompido, where occupants of a boat fled on foot after their vessel ran aground.
