Organized by the FOE's Business Tourism Council, the gathering once again placed tourism at the forefront of provincial debate. Its primary objective is to analyze the current state of the sector in Huelva, highlight its potential, and address strategic challenges to consolidate the destination.
This year, the keynote speaker was José María Rossell, CEO of Senator Hotels & Resorts, a hotel group with a significant presence in the province, managing establishments such as Playa Cartaya, Senator Huelva, Playamarina, and Playacanela. Rossell shared his strategic vision on market evolution, destination competitiveness, and future trends in the hotel industry, emphasizing the need for innovative and sustainable management models.

During the opening, José Luis García-Palacios Álvarez, president of the FOE, reaffirmed the organization's commitment to boosting tourism, highlighting its fundamental role in generating employment and wealth in the Huelva economy. The mayor of Huelva, Pilar Miranda, and the vice-president of the Provincial Council, Felipe Arias, also underscored the forum's importance for a balanced and strategic tourism model.
The event, attended by Arturo Bernal, regional minister of Tourism and External Andalusia of the Junta de Andalucía, included the presentation of two awards. Restaurante Casas de Aracena was recognized for its professional career and gastronomic contribution in the Sierra. Meanwhile, El Mosquito Club de Punta Umbría received the award for best business initiative for its innovative character and commitment to sustainability in the local tourism offer.
