Train services for Media Distancia and Cercanías C5 between Seville and Huelva have been disrupted since the morning of Wednesday, April 8, due to an incident with the catenary near Niebla.

The Railway Infrastructure Administrator (Adif) has reported via its social media channels about the interruption of the railway service connecting Seville and Huelva. The incident is specifically located between Valencina-Santiponce and Niebla, affecting the C5 commuter line of Seville and Media Distancia trains.
According to Adif, technical staff are actively working on-site to resolve the breakdown and restore service between both Andalusian capitals as soon as possible. The main cause of the disruption is a loss of tension in the catenary, the system that supplies power to the trains.
In response to this situation, Renfe has implemented an alternative transport plan to ensure the mobility of affected passengers. This plan involves providing a bus service that covers the original train route, making all scheduled intermediate stops to the final destination.
