This marks the fourth consecutive month of rising costs in the Huelva province. The upward trend began in November with an average price of 8.7 euros and a monthly increase of 1.4%. It continued in December with a 4.1% rise, reaching 9 euros per square meter. The year 2026 started with a 2.7% increase in January, followed by 1.1% in February, bringing the price to 9.3 euros before the new increase in March.
In the capital, Huelva city, the average cost per square meter stands at 10 euros, exceeding the provincial average and reflecting an 11.1% increase over the past year. This figure is remarkably close to its historic maximum, recorded in January of this year, with a difference of mere hundredths.
In other municipalities within the province, La Antilla shows the highest price at 12.5 euros per square meter in March, a 7.7% increase from the previous year, remaining only 3.1% below its September 2011 record. Conversely, Islantilla records a cost of 8.8 euros per square meter, 7.3% less than last year, staying 15.7% below its August 2023 peak. Ayamonte, with 8.6 euros per square meter, has the lowest value, despite a 2.9% increase over the last year.
At the regional level, Huelva is the Andalusian province where rental prices have increased the least proportionally, although it ranks fourth in absolute average cost per square meter. Jaén leads in percentage increases with 11.3%, but is the most affordable at 6.8 euros per square meter. Cádiz has seen a 9.2% rise, reaching 11 euros. Málaga is the province with the highest absolute price, 16.8 euros, after an 8.3% increase. Sevilla records an 8% rise, reaching 11.9 euros. Córdoba and Almería show increases of 7.7% (8.9 euros) and 6.5% (8.7 euros) respectively. Finally, Granada, with the smallest percentage increase (6%), has the third most expensive square meter in Andalusia, averaging 10 euros.
