The Provincial Library of Huelva will host the presentation of the book Conversaciones con Tintín (Conversations with Tintin) by Pablo Luna Cortacans, an event aiming to decipher the longevity and cultural impact of the famous reporter. The event, with free admission until full capacity, will take place at 7:00 PM.
Luna Cortacans' work, introduced by Antonio Ramón Moreno Soldevila, explores the narrative and graphic milestones of Tintin's twenty-three albums, from Tintin in the Land of the Soviets (1929) to Tintin and the Picaros (1976). The author, a civil servant of the Junta de Andalucía and a self-proclaimed Tintinophile, analyzes the life and work of Hergé (1907-1983), the character's creator.
Concurrently, Huelva will be the stage for the baroque opera Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell. This ambitious scenic-musical production will combine music, lyrical singing, choir, and contemporary dance, adhering to historicist baroque canons. The cast includes Huelva artists such as Isabel Valverde (Dido) and Javier de Felipe (Aeneas), with the participation of the Orquesta Barroca Colombina and the Coral Colombina.
Additionally, the Felipe Godínez Theater in Moguer will present the dance-theater piece Memorias de Trapo (Rag Memories) by the company La Mona Damza. This moving performance, scheduled for 10:00 AM with a 3 euro admission fee, tells the story of a young woman who unravels her memories and experiences through the fabrics that form her refuge.
