The political group has expressed concern over the deterioration of the road surface, the proliferation of potholes, and deficient signage on the N-435, especially under low visibility conditions. According to Huelva Existe, this situation is not due to isolated incidents but to "years of accumulated neglect" by the administration.
The N-435 is a strategic route for mobility and economic activity in the Province of Huelva, with an estimated daily traffic of between 3,000 and 5,000 vehicles, including a high percentage of heavy transport. Despite its importance, its current state places it among conventional roads with the highest risk, as lamented by the platform.
“"We are talking about the safety of our children on school routes, the work of emergency services, and the economic development of an entire province. It is not a minor issue; it is a matter of rights."
Huelva Existe has reminded that current regulations oblige the administration to guarantee adequate maintenance and safety of the road network, warning of potential legal responsibilities in case of inaction. The platform has also pointed out a comparative grievance with other provinces that do have sustained conservation plans and investments, describing the management on the N-435 as a "patchwork policy."
The group has demanded an immediate technical inspection, the development of a comprehensive repair project, and the publication of an execution schedule. They have insisted that "provisional actions cannot continue while citizens are put at risk."
