After six days of festivities, celebration, and reunions, the Colombinas, Huelva's summer festival, draws to a close this Monday with a spectacular pyromusical show. As is tradition, citizens gathered on the banks of the Ría to witness the grand finale of the celebrations.
Before the fireworks display, attendees enjoyed the last rides on the attractions, tried their luck at the shooting galleries, and took photos under the main archway, which this year commemorates the centenary of the Plus Ultra flight. Many took the opportunity to extend their post-meal gatherings or toast with a glass of 'ponche', sealing the summer with moments that create new memories.
The musical program concluded with a performance by Rosario Flores, celebrating her 33 years in music with her 'Universo de Ley' tour. Subsequently, Orquesta Alejandría livened up the atmosphere at the Municipal Booth, offering a repertoire for all audiences.
The Exhibition Booth, organized by the Palos City Council, featured a display on the history of the Plus Ultra, including images and six panels chronologically reconstructing the feat. The exhibition was open from 9:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
The highlight of the night arrived shortly after midnight, at 00:30, with the pyromusical spectacle near the Muelle del Tinto. Thousands of people gathered to witness the combination of light, sound, and emotion that marked the end of six days of intense activity at the festival grounds.
