The first of these sessions, the Labor Inclusion and Socioeconomic Development Table, saw significant participation from key stakeholders in the region. Attendees included the Eracis Plus team from the Huelva City Council, social entities, the municipal Employment department, non-profit organizations, the Huelva Federation of Entrepreneurs, the University of Huelva, the Ministry of Education of the Junta de Andalucía, and the State Public Employment Service, among others.
During the session, crucial topics were addressed, such as the presentation of a resource guide, strengthening coordination among employment-related entities, analyzing the local business fabric and its needs, adapting training to labor market demands, reducing the digital divide, and defining new strategies for socio-labor inclusion in Huelva's most disadvantaged neighborhoods.
The high participation and commitment shown by the attending entities reinforce the importance of this joint working space to advance in improving labor and social opportunities for citizens.
This initiative continues the work started in October, when the sectoral tables were established to set priorities in labor inclusion, family inclusion and social cohesion, and habitat and coexistence. Before the end of April, the Family Inclusion and Social Cohesion Table will be held on April 16, and the Habitat and Coexistence Table on April 30.
Additionally, the Huelva City Council also held the Eracis+ Inter-Area Commission, a forum where the technical team met with the heads of service from various municipal areas to coordinate and plan joint actions. The main priority action lines of the Local Intervention Plan in Disadvantaged Areas (PLIZD) were presented, covering areas from access to employment and emotional well-being to drug addiction prevention and the promotion of leisure alternatives.
The current edition of the strategy, which began on March 1, 2024, aims to assist 1,365 people and achieve at least 410 socio-labor insertions. To date, over 56% of the planned period has been executed, with 557 insertion pathways underway and 157 socio-labor insertions already achieved, representing a 40% progress towards the initial objectives. The Eracis +Huelva project is co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus and the Ministry of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality of the Junta de Andalucía.
