The cultural agenda of the Gran Teatro de Huelva for May includes two theatrical performances, two concerts, and a choral gathering, promising a month full of art and entertainment for the Huelva public.
On Friday, May 15, Rafael Álvarez 'El Brujo' will present his show Volar con los pies en el suelo (Flying with Feet on the Ground). In this work, 'El Brujo' reflects on his theatrical career, comparing it to that of ancient Roman comedians, known as the Lazy, who mixed play fragments and told improvised stories, always maintaining a unique connection with the audience.
A day later, on Saturday, May 16, the singer Tamara, renowned for her boleros, will take the stage to offer a concert where she will review the most emblematic moments of her career and present her new compositions live.
On Tuesday, May 19, the Gran Teatro will host a charity concert bringing together various choirs from the city of Huelva. Participants include the choir of the Javier Perianes music conservatory, the CoroDaVida project, the Onujazz Spirit choir, the Voces del Mar association, the choir of the Teatro Lírico de Huelva, the Orfeón de Huelva, the Camerrata Vocal Concertante, and the Tuna de Empresariales Ciudad de Huelva.
The theatrical program will continue on Friday, May 29 with the play El Barbero de Picasso (Picasso's Barber), a comedy starring Pepe Viyuela and Antonio Molero. This piece addresses themes such as exile, identity, and friendship through the relationship between the painter Pablo Picasso and his barber.
Finally, on Saturday, May 30, the singer-songwriter and poet Marwan will be in charge of closing the month's program. Recognized in the club circuit of Spain and Latin America, Marwan will offer a concert that will put the finishing touch on the cultural offerings of the Gran Teatro de Huelva.
