The leading candidate for the Popular Party in the province of Huelva for the Andalusian elections on May 17 has praised the regional government's dedication to public housing in the provincial capital, Ayamonte, and the rest of the province. In this regard, rehabilitation works carried out by AVRA have been highlighted, with an investment of 1.6 million euros in Ayamonte.
The boost to the rehabilitation of the public housing stock has been emphasized. Since 2019, over 24.2 million euros have been invested in improving public housing in the province, benefiting more than 3,700 properties.

Among the specific actions mentioned are the comprehensive rehabilitation of three blocks on Cádiz Street, comprising 48 homes, with energy efficiency improvements and the installation of three elevators on Melilla Street. Furthermore, future improvement works on Ceuta Street have been announced.
The candidate noted the residents' gratitude for having been heard and attended to. She also reaffirmed the commitment to continue with the construction of new public housing, after a period of inactivity, referring to the 48 homes delivered in Pescadería and the 34 protected homes under construction in the San Antonio neighborhood, in Huelva capital, resulting from public-private collaboration.
Regarding Ayamonte, the town's progress has been highlighted thanks to the rehabilitation of the Paseo Marítimo, the improvement of the Portugal pier, and the transformation of the port front, with an investment of eight million euros. Mention was also made of the expansion and renovation of the Lerdo de Tejada residence, costing over two million euros.
