A political representative has denounced the "institutional abandonment" suffered by the province of Huelva in terms of infrastructure and has demanded "truth, justice, and accountability" for the victims of the Adamuz railway accident.

The national deputy for Huelva has criticized the lack of investment in infrastructure and called for political accountability following the railway tragedy. During his intervention in Congress, the parliamentarian accused the Executive of basing its policy on "constant improvisation" and "inefficient spending."
The political representative pointed out that the Government collects "more than ever" while, he argues, neglecting essential investments for security and economic development. He warned that the deterioration of roads, ports, and railway connections is not due to isolated incidents, but to a model based "on headlines rather than maintenance" and "on announcements rather than realities."
In this context, the deputy stated that the investment deficit in road conservation in Spain already amounts to 14 billion euros and that nearly 30% of traffic accidents are related to the poor condition of the roads.
The political representative focused a significant part of his speech on the situation in Huelva, which he defined as "one of the clearest examples of systematic government abandonment." According to him, the province received in 2023 barely 0.12% of state infrastructure investment, a figure he considers "unacceptable" and which, in his opinion, reflects the lack of commitment to the Huelva territory.

"Five trains compared to twenty in other provinces is not inequality, it is abandonment."

The parliamentarian specifically criticized the absence of a highway connecting Huelva and Cádiz, communication problems with Seville, the lack of High-Speed Rail, and the reduced number of railway connections with Madrid. He also lamented the historical delay in duplicating the N-435, the non-existence of an airport, and the logistical difficulties that, according to his political group, directly affect the economic competitiveness of the province and strategic sectors such as agriculture and industry.
In hydraulic and energy matters, he also denounced the lack of infrastructure in a "key" province for the primary sector, asserting that resources are being wasted while restrictions are imposed that harm farmers and businesses.
The parliamentarian also had words of remembrance for the victims of the Adamuz railway accident, a tragedy for which he demanded political accountability. He assured that what happened "was not just an accident," but the consequence of "negligence derived from a model that prioritizes political opportunism over citizen safety."

"Respect for the victims demands more than tributes: it demands truth, justice, and accountability."

The deputy concluded by demanding the resignation of the responsible minister and an urgent change in state infrastructure policy. "Spain deserves safe infrastructures, Huelva deserves respect, and the victims deserve justice," he declared.
